A Chico-based nonprofit organization is seeking a Fiscal Analyst to join its fiscal team. The Fiscal Analyst will support financial operations, grant management, budgeting, and external audits. This position offers a competitive hourly range of $40.00 to $45.00, depending on experience and qualifications. Requirements/Job Duties:
- Prepare, analyze, and present accurate and timely financial reports, including bank reconciliations, grant reporting, and financial statements.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
- Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the CEO and Fiscal Accountant.
- Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.
- Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system.
- Update and implement necessary finance policies and accounting practices.
- Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the CEO and board of directors.
- Work closely and transparently with all external partners, including third-party vendors and consultants.
- Oversee administrative functions and facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations.
- Process accounts receivable (AR) tasks, banking and bank relations, cash receipts, and deposits.
- Process all aspects of the role, including serving as back-up for attendance processing.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; MBA or CPA a plus.
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience, with at least 6 years of broad financial and operational management; nonprofit and grant management experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with accounting software (including Financial Edge).
- Commitment to training programs that maximize individual and organizational goals.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
- A multi-tasker with the ability to wear many hats in a fast-paced environment.
