Overview:
A respected family-owned, multinational mining equipment company, located in Oroville, CA is looking for its next Controller. The ideal candidate will have a growth mindset along with strong technical abilities to manage the accounting department and produce timely and accurate financial reporting.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Managing Accounts Payment/ Receivables, Invoicing
  • Payroll, Sales Taxes, Tax Projections
  • Understanding and creating financial statements, cash flow, balance sheet, income statement
  • Working in with multiple subsidiaries (offshore, domestic)
  • Currency exchange
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Have a solid tax background and experience with Sub-S Corporation, IC-Discs
  • Organize financial statements and workpapers for audit and respond to audit inquiries with backup
  • Cash flow projections
  • Prepare job cost reports to help sales team review amounts invested in certain inventory items
  • Work with banks to obtain funding
  • Prepare year-end tax organizers to send to CPA for owners’ individual tax preparation
  • Preparation of payroll including state and Federal payroll taxes and payroll tax reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related; MBA, CPA (preferred, but not required)
  • At least 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Knowledge of SAGE/Peachtree accounting software
  • MS Office Applications
Compensation:
Salary commensurate to experience $120-150k, plus medical benefits, 401k, PTO
